C100 vs C300 mkii - shot-by-shot comparison
After nearly a year of happily working with the limitations of the C100, I finally upgraded my main camera. And, as expected, the C300 blew me away - so I thought do a 'contrast and compare', recreating one of my first shoots at Corstorphine Hill (with thanks to my incredibly patient wife). Probably the biggest difference? Her bump is now a baby!
Looking at these images side by side, though, the main thing I see is... a better camera operator! More consistent exposure, keeping the aperture in the sweet spot, steadier hands, more imaginative framing, etc etc. And, much more subtle grading - thank you, CLog3 - I love you forever!
Can't wait to strain at the limitations of this camera - feel like we're still a fair way from that, though.
